Using the website

The website is free to use and you do not need an account.

We may update, change, suspend or withdraw any part of the website, including the calculators, at any time. We try to keep the website available, but we do not guarantee that it will always be available or uninterrupted.

You are responsible for making sure that anyone who uses the website through your device or internet connection is aware of these terms.

Calculators and guides

Our calculators and guides are provided for general information, to help you convert and understand time values. They are not financial, legal, tax, payroll or HR advice.

• Results depend on the information you enter, so please check what you enter carefully.
• Some values are rounded. Your employer, payroll provider or software may use different rounding rules or a different number of decimal places.
• Always check results against your employer’s timesheet, payroll and leave rules before relying on them.
• Our holiday tools help you convert a leave balance you already have. They do not calculate your legal holiday entitlement. For that, see GOV.UK holiday entitlement guidance or speak to your employer.

We work hard to keep the website accurate and up to date, but we do not promise that the content is complete, accurate or current. If something looks wrong, please let us know.

Downloadable charts

You may download, print and save our charts for your own use or for use in your workplace, for example on a staff noticeboard. Please do not change them, remove our name from them, or sell or republish them without our written permission.

Acceptable use

You must not:

• use the website in any way that breaks the law or is fraudulent;
• try to gain unauthorised access to the website, the server it is hosted on or any connected system;
• attack the website, including by introducing viruses or other harmful material or by a denial-of-service attack;
• use automated tools to copy, scrape or send large numbers of requests to the website;
• copy, frame or embed our calculators on another website without our written permission; or
• use our contact form to send spam, abusive messages or content you do not have the right to share.

Attacking the website may be a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990, and we may report it to the relevant authorities.

Intellectual property

We, or our licensors, own the intellectual property in the website and its content, including the text, calculators, charts, design, the Hundred Hour name and our logo.

You may view the website and print or save pages for your own reference. You must not use any part of it for commercial purposes without our written permission, except as allowed under Downloadable charts above.

Independence

Hundred Hour is an independent website. We are not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the NHS, NHS Employers, the UK Government or any employer, payroll provider or software company. Any references to them are for information only.

Links to other websites

Where we link to other websites, such as GOV.UK, the links are provided for your information only. We have no control over those websites and are not responsible for their content.

Our responsibility to you

We do not exclude or limit our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, and for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

The website is free and provides general information. You are responsible for checking any result before you rely on it. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for loss or damage that arises from relying on a result or on our content without checking it, including an underpayment, overpayment or leave miscalculation.

If you use the website for business purposes, for example when preparing payroll, we are not responsible for any loss of profit, sales, business or revenue, business interruption, loss of business opportunity, goodwill or reputation, or any indirect or consequential loss.

We are not responsible for damage to your device or digital content caused by a virus or other harmful material that we could not reasonably have prevented. Please use your own virus protection.

Which laws apply

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

If you live in England or Wales, you can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland, you can bring legal proceedings in either the Scottish or the English courts. If you live in Northern Ireland, you can bring legal proceedings in either the Northern Irish or the English courts.

If any part of these terms is found to be invalid, the rest will still apply.
