How Hundred Hour uses the personal information you send us, and the rights you have.
This privacy policy explains how Hundred Hour (“we”, “us”, “our”) uses personal information when you use hundredhour.com, including its calculators, guides and contact form.
We keep this simple. The only personal information we collect is what you send us through our contact form or by email.
Hundred Hour is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. This means we are the “controller” of that information under UK data protection law.
If you have a question about this policy or about your information, email hello@hundredhour.com or use our contact form.
If you send us a message through our contact form, we collect:
If you email us directly, we receive your email address, your name if it is included, and the content of your email.
Please do not include sensitive information, such as health details, employee numbers or payslips, in your message.
You do not need an account, and we do not ask for your name or contact details to use the website.
The calculators work out your results in your browser. We do not receive or store the times you enter.
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools.
Whenever you visit a website, your device shares technical information such as your IP address and browser type. Our hosting and security providers process this information to deliver pages to you and to protect the website from attacks and spam. We do not use it to identify you or to build a profile of you.
| What we do | Information used | Lawful basis |
|---|---|---|
| Reply to your message and deal with your enquiry | Name, email address, message | Legitimate interests: responding to people who contact us |
| Protect the contact form from spam and abuse | IP address, browser and device details, form security checks | Legitimate interests: keeping the website and our inbox secure |
| Keep the website secure and working | IP address and technical request details in server and security logs | Legitimate interests: running a safe and reliable website |
| Handle data protection requests and complaints | The details you give us when you make the request or complaint | Legal obligation |
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have balanced them against your interests and rights, and we believe this use is limited and what you would reasonably expect. You can object at any time (see Your rights below).
We do not use your information for marketing, we do not sell it, and we do not make automated decisions about you.
We use three measures to stop automated spam:
Our calculators are an application hosted on Lovable (lovable.dev) and shown within our pages. When a calculator loads, Lovable and its infrastructure provider, Cloudflare, receive technical information from your browser, such as your IP address, so they can deliver it to you. Cloudflare may set a short-lived security cookie called __cf_bm to protect the application from bots.
We do not use the calculators to collect personal information.
We only share personal information with the service providers that help us run the website:
We may also share information if the law requires us to, or where it is necessary to protect our rights or the safety of others.
We do not sell personal information.
Some of our providers are based outside the UK, including Cloudflare and Defiant in the United States. Where personal information is processed outside the UK, it is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as UK adequacy regulations (including the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for certified organisations) or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
| Information | How long we keep it |
|---|---|
| Contact form messages and emails | Up to 24 months after our last contact with you, then deleted |
| Spam-protection counters | Cleared automatically after a short period |
| Server and security logs | Usually no more than 30 days, unless we need them for longer to investigate a security issue |
| Data protection requests and complaints | Up to 24 months after the matter is closed |
hundredhour.com does not set cookies when you visit it.
WordPress, which runs our website, sets essential cookies only for people who log in to manage the site.
Cloudflare states that Turnstile, which protects our contact form, does not use cookies to collect or store information.
The calculators are delivered from Lovable’s platform, where Cloudflare may set the short-lived __cf_bm security cookie described above. This cookie is strictly necessary to protect the service, so it does not need your consent.
If we add analytics or other non-essential cookies in future, we will update this policy first and give you a choice where the law requires it.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Our website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, security software and spam protection. Access to messages is limited to the people who run Hundred Hour.
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
To use any of these rights, email hello@hundredhour.com or use our contact form. We will respond within one month. If your request is complex, we may need up to two more months, and we will tell you if so. You do not usually need to pay a fee.
If you are unhappy with how we have used your personal information, please tell us first by emailing hello@hundredhour.com or using our contact form. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, look into it, and tell you the outcome without undue delay.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or by calling 0303 123 1113.
This website is intended for adults. It is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we change how the website works. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
